I am an award-winning designer specializing in graphic design, political branding, and visual storytelling. I bring brands, messages, and ideas to life by helping individuals, businesses, candidates, and campaigns communicate in ways that are impactful, memorable, and visually compelling.
I grew up in Cameron Park, CA, where I discovered my passion for graphic design and connecting through emerging tech mediums. I began my studies at California State University, Sacramento, then transferred to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.
My career began in 2012 at Profile by Design in El Dorado Hills as a Graphic Designer and Studio Manager. There, I managed and trained a team, rebranded numerous companies, and worked on social media, web design, and marketing strategies. In 2013, I transitioned to the political arena as a Graphic Designer for the California State Assembly Republican Caucus, where I managed 28 Assemblymember accounts, creating marketing materials for mail, brochures, websites, social media, and public events. In 2016, I joined Meridian Pacific as the Digital Media Director, designing campaign materials for diverse clients over the next four and a half years. In 2021, I returned to the CA State Assembly as a Graphic Designer while also running my own business, Elizabeth Hanretty Graphic Design.
Outside work, I enjoy staying active through fitness, travel, cooking, and photography. I'm a fan of bourbon, pizza, and winning at fantasy football—Go Pack Go! I live in East Sacramento with my husband, Ryan, our daughter, Ella, and our two dogs, Milo and Maverick.
